I wanted to share with you the story of someone I just spoke with. I just got off the phone with her. She wanted to make an appointment for her brother to attend one of our screenings. In our conversation she mentioned that she had attended our first screening at the Bartlett facility in April. After listening to her voice, I remembered her very well. She was completely and utterly scared to death that we would find something wrong with her. Unfortunately, that was the case. One of her carotid arteries was 70% blocked. She mentioned to Dr. Kochman that she was also having chest pains. Because of the results of her HHM screenings, Dr. Kochman scheduled her for an EKG immediately. The result was a coronary blockage that needed a stent immediately. She just kept saying our HHM screenings saved her life. It was so wonderful to hear. She also kept mentioning how wonderful the experience was at Sherman. Everyone was so kind and explained exactly what was happening to her. She could not express enough how well she was treated by the staff and Dr. Matarieh. She said she would love to make a commercial for Sherman. She shared her experience with her family and now her brother will be seeing us in July.

It is obvious that my experience at the Women’s Center was not unique after reading the many positive patient experiences. Sherman is in the business of saving lives, but doing it with utter compassion and professionalism.
I chose Sherman for my mammogram because the hospital closer to my house was booked for over a month. I was in a panic because I found a large lump and I needed immediate diagnostic procedures to be completed. Unfortunately, the mammogram and ultrasound showed some scary masses, so I had to undergo two biopsies to determine if my lumps were cancerous. What was amazing to me throughout this emotional ordeal was that Sherman has a dedicated Nurse Navigator who supported me though every step, large and small. The Women’s Center staff were outstanding, knowledgeable, caring, and beyond amazing in every category. I was able to go from lump discovery to definitive diagnosis in 6 days, leaving me less time to worry.
If you are reading this posting and wondering whether to trust your mammography to Sherman or another hospital, I encourage you to trust Sherman. The center is designed for you to take care of every aspect in one place. It made the difference for me!
